The Venus Project

Here, a very interesting documentary which explains the current main issues that our actual societies are facing. Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows not only bring into question the global economic and financial system, the private property, the consumption’s society, the increase of inequalities, but they propose solutions for an emerging society which could be set up throughout the world. The Venus Project is based on the respect of environment, a high level of innovation at the service of people and not war, the abundance of natural resources, the abolition of currencies, the welfare and the importance of individual potential…

It can be seen like a real utopia (it doesn’t take into account the religious and cultural differences, the constant human vices like the desire of power and supremacy for instance). However, this documentary enable us to wonder what can be changed and what has to be changed… Really interesting.
